Project Request
In the 2017 Rönesans Protocol Road Office Building project, an underfloor fan coil system was requested to be placed in front of the glass facade for office areas consisting entirely of glass facades.
The most important requirement of the system was that the units, positioned right next to the workspaces, should offer high heating and cooling capacities while operating at 35 dB(A) or below at medium fan speed. Additionally, to integrate the units with the architectural design, producing them in the same color as the facade was among the project conditions.
Solution
As STEKON, we supplied 239 units of LTG VKB Trench Fan Coil Units for the project.
The system was selected as high-performance and with stainless steel condensate drain pans, suitable for a 7/12 °C water regime. To meet architectural expectations, as a result of studies conducted with LTG and AkzoNobel, the front panels of the units were painted in a special color code determined by the architect, ensuring full harmony with the building facade.
Consequently, the system provided the necessary heating and cooling performance along the glass facade without compromising user comfort. Thanks to its low noise level, high capacity, and special color application integrated with the architecture, the project was realized as a successful HVAC solution that brought together technical requirements and aesthetic expectations.
